It's like walking through cobb webs back to this site....it's been awhile. My latest adventure was taking a dive into my food blog and keeping that dedication going. I haven't lost interest in shoes, but I think all that wanting and not getting exhausted me.

I had to do a post on my latest addiction to the Chloe shoe line....I'm waiting for some designer to copy cat these styles and allow me to buy them at more affordable prices.. :) I'm uncertain as to why they call that first boot a Motorcycle boot, as I have owned a motorcycle of my own for a few years and never recall anybody in their right mind wearing heels on a bike and not crashing. Foot Stability is important, but perhaps the Chloe designers do know anything about that. :)

I love the grunge boot, always have...since my high school Doc Marten days. This I would pair up with the most elegant sweater and leggings or short lose fitting elegant dress. You got to have some love for the European designers...

Without doubt Louis Vutton's BOOTS in first picture would make this a lady killer outfit....

I love the idea of a Thigh High Boot, I don't own a single pair and would love to have at least one pair to my boot collection. I'm madly in love with Luis Vuitton's version as commented in my last post but among other really fashionable finds are these by Rodarte, let me just say Grey is not a color I'm fond of but I'm willing to work these into my closet. I think the idea of the Thigh High boot is for women to get rid of their pants. I've read, women are wearing mere tights and a long top with these thigh high boots and clearly "leaving the house without the pants." How trendy? I love the idea, at the same point I wonder if the look can be screwed up pretty bad by looking like a first class hooker. I think if you know how to porportion the thigh high boot in with the longer tops and shorter length dress and tights it can be pulled off. I'm not sure if a person shorter in length would be able to work this look without looking like the boots are pulled up to the waist. I don't know, I haven't seen it but I can't imagine it also.

These boots have plentiful straps and that makes me love them!

So I purchased my first sandal in over two years, I wanted to give the flat sandal a chance. I thought I'd invest in some casual gladiator's. I love studs and diamonds or some sort of bling on a sandal so I went with this pair by NYLA, I paid $24 for them. As usual I find flat shoes difficult and painful to walk in. I'm hoping I will get use to wearing them, I haven't given up on them yet.

I had got these by Steve Madden years ago, I liked them so much I got them in Black, Brown and this light pink I have featured in the picture. It was the fur and toggle that made me love them. These are at least 4 years old probably more but I can't remember. The black ones are starting to fade and should be ready to donate soon or I can save them for rainy days.

For years they occupied space in my closet and as they found a place in the Goodwill box on several occasions, I haven't been able to get rid of them. Vintage 4 Buckle Boot

Don't these buckle wedge sandals rock? I love them! Saw them on Jack and Jill blog.

My oldest boot in my closet and though I was fond of it way back 15 years ago, I've got much to complain about it now. I guess our taste does change over the years, what I don't like about this boot is the 2 inch wedge, do they even make many shoes with a 2 inch wedge? I'm not digging the square toe either. I noticed these expensive sandals resembling the buckle so I guess it is a trend that has transcended into a sandal. I'd still wear these but I have far more attractive boots in my closet. I haven't any idea who makes it as the brand name in the shoe is not visible. I'm pretty sure this was a Victoria's Secret catalogue purchase.

Which leaves me to this question, at what point do you send a shoe on it's way? Deliver it to the Rescue Mission or dump it in the trash? I know sandals go quickly, I don't like the foot imprint that appears on sandals after little use.
I had a pair of converse looking sneakers that had a nice 4 inch wedge on them, they were by Guess I loved them so much I wore the crap out of them. The wedge lost it's balance. When I put them in the Goodwill box, I pulled them out several times. Finally, I had to remind myself just how awful they look now. Now I'm seeing all these brands doing the wedge on a sneaker, I got rid of mine 2 years ago.

Nine West Riding Boot

These are by Nine West, I got them the year I got pregnant in 2006, I remember wondering how much longer did I have to wear them before my feet swelled up. They remind me of the riding boot, I love the buckle detail on this boot as well as the dark saddle back color on them. The quality of leather is soft. These were a winter clearance item and I was lucky enough to get them less than $60. I'm a deal shopper, I feel cheated when I pay full price for anything, unless it is a beautiful boot would I be willing to make the sacrifice of paying full price but never for a sandal or mediocre shoe. I was skeptical at first, the heel height on these is 2 inches, I'm not a fan of flat shoes and even 2 inch shoes gives me second thoughts. I love height, I love the way my legs look in shoes with height. If I had long thin legs I would give flat shoes a chance but I'm 5'5 and my legs are not long.

One of the great features on the Nine West shoes is how they make them to fit slender feet like a glove. I don't own any pair by this brand that fit me loose or big, definitely not a brand made for wide feet or legs.

Boutique Shoez

I got these at Shoez boutique at least 3 years ago. I haven't bought a sandal in over 2 years, because of my pregnancy and because it's difficult to shop with a two year old. I saw this boutique go up a few miles from my house and I wanted to check it out. Her store was just full of really unique off the wall shoes, imported from France. Expensive though but I remember seeing these on her sale rack and thought I'd give the price tag a glimpse. I was lucky to snatch them at a deal.

My daughter is going to be so lucky when I pass my collection of shoes on to her which will be really cute vintage shoes by the time she gets them. The goodwill will get my worn out shoes but my daughter will get all my babies. I remember when my mom passed some of her boots down to me from the 70's, so freaking cool. Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough to take very good care of them, I destroyed them by wearing them in rain and mud. Till this day I could kick myself for not taking good care of them. I use to get so many compliments on them.

This is my favorite sandal in my collection, these are by Nine West. I'm guessing they are at least 5 years old, I know that I bought them while working in Santa Barbara. I don't remember the year that I worked in Santa Barbara though. The reason I remember this, it was the hardest time in my life I had to resist shopping everyday as the window to the office pranced BEBE in my face. Watching new displays go up and not run over their during my lunch hour to purchase something was incredibly hard, more hard than not eating sweets. The Ninewest store sat across it and as I walked over to grab lunch one day, long and behold this unique looking fish net beaded style sandals glistened at me from the store window...

You can see why I have this fetish in the first place, I can hold back on just about any purchase but shoes....if I know I'm saving money I refuse to walk by a shoe store.

These boots are by Apepazza. I got these 2 years ago from Nordstroms and lucky enough to get them for less than $100 when the original price on them was $249.00. I love them, the quality of leather is so soft, I love the wedge, the buckle at the top and the slight fringe detail on them. These fit my slender foot like a glove. These are one of my favorite boots that I own and I have 2 other boots that are on my favorite list I've yet to post about. These pair nicely with skirts, capri's, denim and leggings I love that about them.

When you have a shoe fetish there is something about a particular shoe that draws you in, and you find yourself buying many shoes that revolve around that one special thing about them. I love lace up boots, wedges, and details on a shoe. I'm a sucker for them, but the boot needs to be clean cut, the heel height can vary in size, but the sleek pulled together look on a lace up boot is what gets me at first glance. It needs to be leather, good quality leather too.

As I have found to be the story with these beautiful dark bronze color ones by Nine West....sophisticated yet stylish. I believe I can call them vintage now because I'm pretty sure these are 10 years old now. Vintage right? I'm starting to own stuff I bought originally new that is now vintage. I think of it as, I've reached the "Sex And The City," age. Fashion trendy, drinks, money, style. :)

So, Summer is on it's way why am I posting all these winter shoes right? We'll because fall and winter shoes are my favorite. Sandals are sandals unless they are by Balmain right? Balmain has the habit of making just about anything glamorous. I can't say I own any kind of sandal that is all that? I know the latest rage is the gladiator sandal but I haven't even got myself a pair yet or maybe I won't, I'm still undecided if I like them. Sandals to me, are either classy and something you wear with a cocktail dress or down to the flip flop comfy beach wear. I just don't have too many of the in between sandals...

My fetish is more for boots than anything else and I have lots to post in that department. However, I do own these pretty wedges by JLO , I got them at least 5 years ago if not longer. I've worn them twice. Considering I got pregnant two years ago that killed my chance at wearing any of my cute shoes for the duration of my pregnancy time and a few months after as well. I love the 4.5 inch height in them, they make me 5'10 tall.
I'm so glad I don't have wide or flat feet that would just be devastating because I don't think they make too many shoes for people with that problem.

Most of the shoes in my closet are years old but look new because I own too many shoes to wear them all out. The last pair of shoes I bought was 4 months ago. It's not that I lost my passion to shop, I just have more fun shopping for my little one now.

These are by Jessica Simpson though I'm not too familiar with her brand of shoes, I really like this pair. What I love about them is the button detail, the stretchy fabric under neath that pulls this design into a sleek shoe. The silver version on these shoes were gorgeous but once again I lucked out and settled for black. This fun shoe pairs with everything....
I love details on a shoe, and the buttons are what makes this shoe classy. I've paired this up in all black and white clothing to even a black bucket hat...love the look.

I got this boot for $60! How often do you find boots for $60? Winter end clearance is the only time right, but in my popular size 8? I'm just rarely ever lucky. I love the button and ruffle detail on these Restricted boots and to have a pretty patent finish on the toe of the boot. So..lovely....yes...so lovely... These boots sort of remind me of the Victorian Era Button Up Granny boots but more pretty with this lushes brown color..

I love the Victorian era, it was the most classy yet stylish time in fashion. The corsets played a key roll, though they did try to make a comeback in the years passed, but the designers where trying to make the corset a slutty fashion trend instead of bringing it back with class as it was first intended in making the waist line much thinner yet making it glamorous. I would love to see the corset come back with class again...

I love fashion blogs, they give me inspiration to have fun with my fashion pieces. To name a few, The Sartorialist who started the trend of taking photographs of fashion trendy's all over New York and Paris and have since than grabbed a whole new audience replicating what he started. Another fun blog is Doe Deere Blogmagazine, she is so beautiful, her line of Lime Crime makeup is so trendy, from glimmering shadows to instructions on how to grab those fantastic makeup applications she puts together. It's makeup art! My latest find of really fabulous fashion blogs is Kingdom of Style, Cute and artistic fashion trends from clothes, accessories to trendy decorating finds. I think the photography on her site is beautiful too, images I'd like to learn to capture on my camera, though I am trying it's sites like hers that give me inspiration to keep trying. Another popular channel of blogs I'm into is Jack and Jill, who keeps me updated on the latest yet most trendy of shoe and fashion craze among the designers and models. Finally, the last one I just started tuning into this week is Fashiontoast and what I love about it is her expression of fashion is innovated.

These are seriously jaw dropping beautiful! If you have short legs, don't even go there this is a long leg sandal. Everyone knows you don't want to take away from the length of the leg unless you got a heck of a lot of leg to spare for long boots or sandals in this case... I've wanted these for the longest time. There's absolutely nothing special about them, other than the fact I love a nice lace up boot that isn't too rugged like the combat boots but not too over done like a fashion princess boot. I wanted the most simple lace up boot with a nice size heel that I can strut around town all day long in and still be comfortable. I wanted a boot that looks good with skirt, dresses, capri's and pants. One that I can bring into spring with me without looking like it is strictly a winter boot. I know when it is time to put away the boots and bring out the sandals but there are a few boots out there that work out beautifully with the spring skirts and capris. This I believe is one of them. I have this boot in a nice rugged brown color. I'll get a picture of the boot I own and replace it with this one soon. They are by Seychelles. I love them!

I'm not a fan of flat shoes, since I have a high arch in my foot, pain is the result of wearing flat shoes. However, these gladiators by Marciano are really cute, I love the color contrast and would make that kind of a sacrifice for these. :)

Though sandal season is creeping on us, I still have the biggest fetish for boots....here's a pair by Alberto Fermani suede and leather combo that I am in love with..... I haven't seen leather and suede in a boot before, this is gorgeous!

Why is size 6 or 10 always the shoe size that is left over after a clearance? Do people really have substantially small or giant feet?

REALLY want them. These are so cute on so many levels, they do remind me of the Victorian era but more than that I have so much cute clothes to match them up with if only the price tag was just as admirable.

Shopping For A Purse.... theory

I am picky with purses. I can't be one of those women that buy a purse monthly or even every 6 months or so. I am so picky about what I like in a purse that it really needs to scream at me from across the room in order for me to buy. I can't shop around for a purse because I rarely ever like what I see. I'm so picky that the only times I ever bought a purse was when I had no intention in going out to buy a purse it just happened to caught my eye as I was passing a department or store. There are so many ugly qualities I don't like about a purse

1.) That it has too much going on, pockets galore!
2.) It looks like a box, it doesn't bend or move when you sit it down.
3.) Great style, ugly color
4.) Great color ugly style
5.) Too Big, Too Small, Too bulky,
6.) I hate Grey or silver purses....not a suitable color for a purse
7.) Wrinkled up looking purse, fabric disaster
8.) Purses that don't pair up easily with a variety of clothes
9.) Logo Purses, I know Coach Is infamous for this, but I can't stand sporting logos it's pathetic.
I love Coach, but not the logo style of Coach.

I was upset about the shoes, after contemplating if I needed them or not when they were marked down 40% off. What the heck was I waiting for, but of course I wanted them. When I finally decided I was crazy for thinking about it and went online to purchase them they were sold out in my size. It was like a punch in the gut, that's how bad I wanted them. I don't even know how it came to be that I got a pair of those beautiful lovely shoes at 40% off mailed to me from Nordstroms. You are my hero, you beautiful damn department store!

Page Boy Hair Cut

I have always admired the pageboy hair cut since I first seen it on Martika. I have to say though I can't stand that haircut on kids, it's too mature of a hair cut for a little kid. This hair cut works if you have a slender mature face as this model does and I think pale white skin with dark eye features makes this hair style work as well.

This is the time of the year I love the most. The stores in the malls fill their racks with patents and wool coats, browns, reds, purple and auburn colored accessories. It's the cold mornings and the faint touch of the warming sun at noon that I miss, the breeze in the afternoons are cooler and longer lasting as the tree branches sway in such a beautiful dance. This is when fashion designers have me like play doe in their hands. My fetish for boots is like unraveling a Christmas gift, I have so much anticipation for the next designer to wow me. It's like walking on the red carpet as I slide my foot into all the pretty fabulous boots out there as my wandering eye is observing the room, looking for just that....the duchesses boot. :)
